Black seabream

Black seabream is distributed in western Pacific region. It is found near sandy bottoms of inner bays; it feeds on mollusks and polychaetes. It is one of the salt water pond culture and marine cage culture species in Taiwan. Artificial propagation technique of this species was established in 1987.
