Common ponyfish

Common ponyfish is distributed in Indo-West Pacific, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to Australia. Found in river mouths and muddy inshore areas. Adults are coastal inhabitants, found on soft bottoms with depths from 10 to 70 meters. Feed on polychaetes, small crustaceans and small fishes. It is a culture species in southern Taiwan.
