Greater amberjack

Greater amberjack is found in waters around Taiwan, living usually between 20 and 70 m in depth. It feeds on invertebrates and small fishes. It can attain maximum length of 200 cm. The species was introduced and cultured in marine cage of Penghu Islands. Induced spawning of this species was established in 1997.
