Javelin grunt, Head grunt

Javelin grunt is distributed in Indo-West Pacific region. It inhabits turbid inshore waters with sandy to muddy bottoms at a depth of 75 m, may tolerate water with low salinity; it feeds on crustaceans and fish. It can attain 35 cm in length, and spawn all year round.
