Snubnose pompano, Silver pompano

Silver pompano can be found in southern and eastern sea of Taiwan. Juveniles inhabit sandy shorelines and shallow sandy bays near river mouths. It primarily feeds on sand mollusks and invertebrates. It is a suitable species for pond and marine cage culture. The artificial propagation techniques were fully developed in 1989.
